Hi, I am Chelsea Skye

I am married to my best friend (cheesy, but very true) and fun fact, he is the person who taught me how to use a camera, without him none of this would have happened. Together we have two children, Scarlett Snow and Holstin Lee. I am a Follower of Christ, lover of craft beer, and a Disney die-hard.

Fresh out of high school I joined US Army and served for 6 years. I obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science, started a career as a political consultant, working at the State Capitol in Denver, Colorado as a Legislative Aide to a State Representative then as a policy analyst. I am a complete travel junkie. Living in Japan for 1 year allowed me to explore much of South East Asia with my daughter. I am proud to say she has been bitten by the travel bug as well!

My goal is to capture the milestone moments in life: be it a 1st birthday cake smash, senior photos, or a wedding, creating photos that will evoke the very emotions you felt on that day even years later. Posed, formal photos are great and I believe it is important to capture those (because grandma will want one of you smiling at the camera to print out), but my main focus is on the real moments. True laughter, genuine smiles, passionate kisses, joyful bounding, silly faces, dancing, piggyback rides.. that is where I want to spend our time together during your photo session!

I know that not everyone may feel comfortable in front of the camera, and I truly focus on helping ease nerves! Nothing is worse than getting your photo taken and wondering the whole time if you are “doing it right”. I will help adjust hair, give tips on outfits, and guide you through the whole process. I aim to make your session fun, lighthearted, and pressure free.
